SOLVOPOL MA LQ is a liquid degreaser for iron and steel. It is used to clean metal surfaces of oils and contaminants before subsequent treatment, preferably prior to coating.
Bath Tanks: Rubber-lined steel tanks, stainless steel tanks, or plastics resistant to alkaline substances and heat.
Initial Concentration: 5–10% = 50–100 g/L.
Operating Temperature: 30–70°C.
pH: Ready-to-use solutions: 12–14.
Exposure Time: 2–30 minutes, depending on the degree of contamination.
Post-Treatment: Once the degreasing process is complete, the material must undergo a rinsing step.
Extending Bath Life: The expected bath life can be significantly extended by adding EMULGATOR MA emulsifier when the bath is contaminated with large quantities of oil.
Optimizing Degreasing Performance: The degreaser’s effectiveness can be significantly increased by using a higher temperature, moving the material to be cleaned, or agitating the bath.
